We have a spelling champion in our midst!! Congratulations to Eighth Grader Ryana Sarcar of Niskayuna! She took home the top prize yesterday in the 36th annual Capital Region Spelling Bee!! The event actually lasted from 1pm to 7pm. Can you imagine spelling words for over six hours??? Ryana did it and did it all right, so now she will move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May! And we'll be cheering her on!!! Congrats Ryana, all of here in the Capital District are proud of you and wish you the best come May!!!
